Lisa’s birthday party last year. It’s hard to explain…
Rebecca
I just got a text message from Lisa saying that the internet has been down all night for her. She says she’ll try to get her post up later today. She apologizes profusely, feels terrible, has been agonizing about what to do, etc.
Readers, believe what you will.
I hope you realize, however, that yesterday was her birthday. Know also this: she married Tagg, who, if my memory serves, knows how to celebrate a birthday better than the best of them.
She says internet is down. I say she’s recovering.
Either way Lisa, we’re glad you were born. Happy 30th.
Of course, if it is down, she won’t be able to stop us from using this Apron Stage pause to tell her how much we love her…

She loved this post. You know she did.
That is, she would if her internet weren’t down and she could read it.

Happy Birthday Lisa! You don’t know me . . . and I don’t know you, for that matter . . . but I’m having fun pretending that I do when I read your posts!

Rebecca, I am just online now for the first time in 24 hours. It was so liberating.
You’re absolutely right. Tagg is the best of men to have around on a birthday. We celebrated on Sunday with the family. It was so monumental that I got sick. Serves me right for being such a glutton.
Actually, Tagg’s one request for my birthday was that I finish my post before 8pm. I listened. It was the first time in eons I was ahead of the game. And then I wasn’t.
Great photo from the Talent Show Birthday Party of 08. You Smylies sure do know how to throw a party.
Thank you ALL for the birthday wishes! There is no greater compliment than hearing that people who aren’t related to me actually read this blog

And that was, by far, the best birthday party talent show I ever attended. Why Rebecca chose that pic instead of Marc break dancing is beyond me. Happy Birthday, Lisa! Love you to pieces!

Kahalia,
Oh, it was a birthday formula that I HIGHLY recommend. Especially now that no one has any money. I asked that instead of gifts, all my guests bring a talent. The photo is of all the men in the room learning how to tie a bow tie. A friend brought that talent as a gift. It was darling. Another brought break dancing (Kaedi’s husband) another brought origami, Rebecca recited Rindercella (google it–it’s sweet and wonderful.) It made for a great party.
